Welcome to the Green Dragon Hapkido Group Website.
My name is Michael Tomlinson and I am the Chief Instructor at the Green Dragon Dojang. The Green Dragon Hapkido Group is a small but very dedicated contingent of Hapkidoists. We are affiliated with the Sin Moo Hapkido Organization. The Founder of Sin Moo Hapkido is Doju Nim Ji Han Jae. The Director of Sin Moo Hapkido in the State of Florida is Master Rick Nabors of The Korea Martial Arts Dojang in Tampa Florida.
Hapkido is a Korean Martial Art that prides itself on realistic self defense. In Hapkido you learn to defend yourself from numerous ranges and scenarios. The foundation of what would later be called Hapkido was brought to Korea by Choi Yong Sool. Hapkido was then refined and popularized to the world by the "Founder" of Hapkido, Doju Nim Ji Han Jae. The Green Dragon Dojang teaches Hapkido in a traditional manner. There is no substitute for hard practice and repetition. There is a complete curriculum that is followed and used in all testing procedures. The ONLY way to obtain Hapkido rank from the Green Dragon Hapkido Group is to demonstrate all required techniques for the specified rank with expertise and fluidity.
